WFO Introduction

The World Foundry Organization (WFO) is a global centre for foundry knowledge and technology innovation and advancement. It has established connectivity networks in more than 30 countries and consists of executive committee members, member organizations, committees, World Foundry Congress and technical forums。 Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society joined the WFO on behalf of China in 1978,responsible for organizing Chinese foundry experts and scholars to actively participate in WFO activities。

At the General Assembly of Executive Committee and Formal Meeting of Member States in 2012, WFO granted FICMES to establish four WFO technical commissions on Moulding Materials, Non-ferrous Alloys, Ferrous Metals and Die Casting and the secretariats of all above four commissions are located in FICEMS.
